Here at Chim Chim Churee we are confident in our pricing therefore if you know there is worked needed we offer free estimates. Typically if a company is charging for estimates it means their pricing is higher. They charge so if they do not get the estimate they at least make something for the trip out. We offer free estimates for new construction, restoration of existing or second opinions. We typically offer a variety of solutions to fit any budget. All estimates given are typically itemized so you can pick and choose items based on your budget. We will explain the pros and cons of doing or not doing each item. We offer a best price guarantee on all estimates given. This is conditional on the estimates being an apples to apples estimate or at least similar. Typically if someone gets three estimates we are the middle or lower bid. If we are the middle bid we are normally doing more work than the lowest bid. The one other condition to utilize the best price guarantee is that the other company must be licensed, insured, and certified. Below we will explain the reason for each.

Licensed: Doing construction work over the amount of $1000 requires a contractors license. To operate a business in general a business license is required. We have a Class A Contractors License. This means we can do a project of any amount and can do a much work in a year as we desire. If a company does not have a contractors license it is a sign in general that they may cut corners and not do work properly. If they do not believe in properly licensing they most likely also do not believe in doing everything by the book when they do construction. This can lead to damage to your home. Do not ever use an unlicensed contractor for construction. You are able to verify if any contractor has a contractors license by going to the website below. You can either search them by the owners name, company name, or address. Always verify here. Dpor (Department of Professional Occupation Regulations) is the group that handles professional licensing for not only contractors but also engineers, real estate agents, cosmetology, etc. Any profession that required a license is obtained here. Insured: Anytime you have anyone work on your home you want to make sure they are insured. There are two primary types of insurance you should look for. First is general liability which will cover any damage to your home as a result of work being performed. An example would be is you hired a tree company and they dropped a tree on your house. Second is workers compensation insurance. This will cover if any workers are injured on your property. If you hired a company that does not have insurance your home owners insurance will have to cover the damages instead of the contractors. It is a home owners responsibility to verify insurance of contractors they hire. Failure to do so may result in your insurance not covering damage or if they do dropping your policy. Unfortunately, there is not a website you can go on to verify insurance since it is not required for companies to carry. You can however requires a Certificate of insurance (COI). This will provide all the insurances they carry as well as the monetary limits.

Certified: Any chimney company you hire should be certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). This is the professional education specifically for chimney sweeps. This national association offer the highest quality training and education. Hiring someone who is not certified can result in damage to your home from either fire or water.
