The National Fire Protection Association states: “Chimneys shall be inspected at least once a year…” Our experience has shown us that under “normal burning conditions” it may take about one cord of wood burned in a fireplace to produce enough creosote build-up to warrant cleaning. This is only a rule of thumb and under certain burning conditions, the need for sweeping could be much sooner. When in doubt, call for a professional inspection!
We follow the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommended inspection procedures. NFPA divides the inspection procedure into three categories, or levels. The circumstances which give rise to the inspection determine what level of inspection is to be conducted. A Level I inspection is the most basic level of inspection, and is completed during each chimney cleaning or sweeping. A Level II Inspection is more detailed and thorough, and is the recommended inspection when conditions of use for the appliance or venting system are changing — or when a Level I inspection reveals the need for a more detailed inspection.
Where the standard chimney cap does not fit the chimney or isn’t appropriate, we have the expertise to recommend and install the appropriate chimney cap for any chimney or vent. Special caps (for large or unusual sizes) and UL listed caps for manufactured fireplaces are all available from our trained staff. We even can install damper caps that help prevent heat loss and will reduce your heating bills! Be sure to ask one of our technicians which chimney cap is the best for you.
Chimney relining is often the most practical and affordable way to repair a deteriorated or damaged chimney. Chimneys can be damaged by a number of things such as settling, hurricanes, and lightning, but the most common form of chimney damage is a chimney fire. In addition to chimney damage, older chimneys may be unlined or their liners may be deteriorated to the point where relining is warranted.
There is always a temptation for consumers to try to install their newly bought prefabricated fireplace, which we totally understand. However, you might consider having a professional not only install your fireplace, but also consult with them before you order or buy one. Call and ask us to help you with that prefabricated fireplace — from measurement, to purchase, to installation. We will take the hassle out of installation and ensure it will be installed properly and we guarantee our work. You can rest assured and be worry-free that any fireplace we install will be safe and sound for your home and family.
Constant smoking problems are often the easiest to diagnose while being the hardest to correct. Many constant smoking problems are the result of improper construction or design and may require extensive modification of the chimney system to correct. Sometimes you need to call a professional to troubleshoot your chimney problem — professionals like Chim-Chim Churree!

Whether the chimney is in need of minor repairs or complete reconstruction, our technicians and masons are trained to help you determine the appropriate course of action. No job is too big or too small, and you’ll appreciate our professional craftsmanship and care for your home. Chimney rebuilds are one of our most popular services — see our showroom to see examples of our work!
Brick can be one of the most durable building materials, as testified by the survival of notable Roman examples. Not infrequently, however, poor repairs, a lack of maintenance and inappropriate alterations lead to trouble. If you’re looking for help replacing bricks, our brick replacement service is perfect for you.
When mortar joints become damaged, the most cost-effective action that a homeowner can take is to repair affected areas via tuckpointing. The alternative is to allow the mortar joints to deteriorate to the point that the chimney collapses, which makes a complete rebuild necessary — and of course, the cost of a rebuild is far greater than the cost for repairs.
Beginning late each fall and throughout the rainy season, we field dozens of calls from homeowners experiencing a tremendous amount of water coming in down and around their chimneys and fireplaces or stoves. We’ve had clients in newer homes literally collecting pans of water in the fireplace or woodstove alcove. There are a number of things we look at in diagnosing the source of this annoying and damaging phenomenon. Water penetration can lead to damage costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars to repair. Don’t let this problem go unresolved — and call us to help fix the leak.
We offer a brick and mortar matching service that ensures a seamless blend — lifting the entire look of your home's exterior.
We match mortar as well as bricks using mortar sample kits from different brickyards to get the most accurate color matches. There are different brands of mortar and color variation is possible.
We match the bricks by taking bricks from the structure and matching them in the same lighting at the brickyard to ensure the color shade is as accurate as possible. That way, when the new bricks are added to the chimney, the blend is almost unnoticeable.

At Chim-Chim Churee, we are one of the few companies that specialize in chimneys as well as masonry. We diagnose problems looking at both aspects of the masonry structure itself and the chimney interior. We are a small, local company that strives to offer the highest quality work. More than anything, we want to help homeowners enjoy their fireplaces and live in a comfortable home — without the worry of water or smoke entry from your chimney structure. You can see photos of our work in our showroom or read what your neighbors are saying on our verified reviews page.
Our Story: We have been in the chimney and masonry industry since we entered the workforce in our teens. We learned both the masonry trade, as well as chimneys. After working for our previous employer, we realized that almost no other chimney companies offered masonry services in-house. The majority of the other companies outsourced the masonry — leading to a higher price and less controlled quality of service. This made us realize that there was a need for a company like ours that specialized in both. Our name, Chim-Chim Churee Chimney & Masonry, is inspired by one of everyone’s favorite Disney classic, Mary Poppins — and yes our technicians do wear the top hats, and, if asked, will dance around for you!
